Area Description :
Ronas voe where south house looks on to was at one time a busy area for the herring fisheries.Northmavine the district has the best walking and loch fishing in shetland( permits very easily available at small cost from lerwick fishing shop).There are seals and otters in the voe or loch below the house. Arctic terns nest on the beach.Heylor is however only 3 miles from the village of hillswick, where the post office, hotel and vegetarian cafe are situated.
